Pisgah Legal Services is a nonprofit law firm founded in 1978 to provide free civil legal aid to help low-income people in Western North Carolina. In 2015, Pisgah Legal’s staff and volunteer attorneys helped more than 15,000 people in crisis to avoid homelessness, escape domestic violence, and secure income, health care, and other essential resources. Pisgah Legal Services provides assistance in many areas of law, including housing, domestic violence, family law, elder law, consumer law, immigration, and public benefits. Pisgah Legal has offices in Asheville, Brevard, Hendersonville, and Rutherfordton, and will soon have an office in Marshall.
