Legal Aid of North Carolina is a statewide, nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity It has multiple offices across the state, a statewide coverage area, and the following units: Advocates for Children’s Services, Battered Immigrants Project, Central Intake Unit, Fair Housing Project, Farmworker Unit, Medical-Legal Partnership, Project Together, Second Chance Project, Senior Law Project, and The Child’s Advocate.​
