This new program will provide an overview of the Fair Housing Act: what is prohibited, what is covered, and strategies for maximizing compliance. Faculty will cover topics such as advertising housing on social media, disability discrimination issues, including requests for reasonable accommodation, and other contemporary issues under federal, state and local fair housing laws.

This program will focus on practical considerations when litigating cases concerning conditions of confinement and treatment of incarcerated individuals. Topics will include mental health and health services, current issues under the Prison Litigation Reform Act (PLRA), and developments concerning pretrial detainees' constitutional deprivation claims.

Attend this program for an overview of federal housing programs, recent changes, current trends, and issues facing practitioners. This training uses real-world examples to explore issues with identifying subsidized housing, admissions, rents, evictions and terminations, among others.
