There are 950 evictions filed per month in Durham. Due to limited resources, the Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) Durham Office can only handle a small portion of these cases. This is why volunteers are crucial to our operation.
Pro bono attorney volunteers are needed to assist LANC housing attorneys draft interrogatories once a month and to handle eviction cases from start to finish. Training will be provided.
