DESCRIPTION:Join the Charlotte Eviction Project and Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) for a continuing legal education program that will provide an overview of the legal remedies offered to pro bono clients subjected to unfair housing practices. Topics covered will include:\n• Client Intake and Review • Trial Preparation and Courthouse Procedures • Summary Ejectment Complaints • Common Defense Strategies • Small Claims Court\nFounded in 2018 the Charlotte Eviction Project works to outsource LANC cases at a high capacity to pro bono attorneys in the private bar.
