Pro Bono Honor Society"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>RALEIGH, N.C. \u2013 <\/b>Campbell Law Assistant Clinic Professor Allegra Collins is one of 170 attorneys named to the inaugural N.C. Pro Bono Honor Society. Collins and her colleagues were recognized for each having donated 50 or more hours of legal services during 2016 through the state\u2019s inaugural voluntary pro bono reporting effort.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nccourts.org\/News\/Documents\/NC-Pro-Bono-Honor-Society-Inductees-2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download the complete list<\/a><\/u> of recognized attorneys.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\u201cI am honored to have been recognized by the North Carolina Supreme Court for my pro bono legal services and I am pleased to join this list of accomplished attorneys,\u201d said Collins. \u201cI am grateful for the opportunity to use my appellate skills and knowledge to help ensure access to justice for all citizens of our state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Collins is the director of the externship program at Campbell Law. She also teaches Judicial Writing, Legal Research and Writing, and Remedies. She joined the full-time faculty at Campbell Law as the interim director of legal research and writing and visiting assistant professor prior to the 2015-16 academic year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">An appellate attorney with extensive experience in appellate law and the North Carolina appellate court system, she is founding member of Allegra Collins Law, which focuses exclusively on appellate litigation, and practices regularly before the North Carolina Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
